Welcome Friends of Hospice San Antonio,
a volunteer support organization of hospice

Our volunteers raise funds for hospice patients

Friends of Hospice San Antonio (FHSA) was organized in 1991 by a small group of volunteers concerned with the availability of hospice services, helping to ensure no one is denied care due to their inability to pay. Over three million dollars has been raised for hospice patients.

Fundraising benefiting uninsured & underinsured patients

Fundraising dollars come from membership dues, grants, memorials, general donations, the Poinsettia Ball, Poinsettia Sale, the holiday card sales, and the Valentine Luncheon and Style Show. Donations obtained from fundraising events are used to support uninsured and underinsured patients.

Partnering with San Antonio's only non-profit hospice

Friends of Hospice partner with the only non-profit hospice in the San Antonio area, CHRISTUS VNA Hospice and Palliative Care San Antonio, to provide care for the uninsured and furnishings for the CHRISTUS Sister Mary Hospice Center. Education partners include CHRISTUS Continuing Care and Trinity University.
