Friends of Hospice San Antonio Inc.

Mission Organized in 1991, the mission of Friends of Hospice San Antonio, Inc. is to increase community awareness and understanding of hospice and to raise funds in support of patients and their families in end-of-life care.

Fund Raising Fund raising dollars come from membership dues, grants, memorials, general donations, the Poinsettia Sale, the Poinsettia Ball, special occasion card sales, and the Valentine Luncheon and Style Show. Donations obtained from fundraising events is used to support uninsured and underinsured patients.

A Memorial Card will be sent to the family, or an In Honor Of card will be sent to the recipient. The donor will receive a Thank You letter for tax purposes.
Other Opportunities
Spiritual Friends of Hospice provides a prayer book for hospice patients and their caregivers which was developed by an ecumenical group of volunteers. A Spring Lecture is hosted yearly to educate the community on end-of-life issues.
Volunteers Friends volunteer for all fundraising and educational activities and help with refreshments at the Hospice Memorial Service.
Memberships Friends of Hospice Membership is open to all persons interested in helping to promote and sustain superior hospice services in the community. Membership is available at 5 diffierent levels, call us today to join our team of dedicated volunteers.
